Leeds Building Society has operated an affinity account, the Leeds United Saver, in conjunction with Leeds United since 1997. 5th April 2012 | Easter themed charity day raises over £900 for local hospices

These funds were raised for St Gemma's Hospice, based in Moortown, and Martin House Children's Hospice, based in Wetherby. 29th March 2012 | A ‘Good Friday’ to invest and maximise tax-free ISA returns

Leeds Building Society will open over half of its branches on Good Friday, 6th April, to help its members maximise the return on their ISA savings. The first day of the 2012 / 2013 tax-year falls over the Easter weekend, so a number of branches will now be open for business on Good Friday, with all its branches open as normal on Saturday 7th April. 20th March 2012 | Leeds Building Society supports Sport Relief

Leeds Building Society branches are accepting donations from members of the public in the build up to this weekend's Sport Relief. The Leeds Building Society logo will appear on the 'Ways to Pay' screen at various points during the Sport Relief TV show on Friday 23rd March, to indicate to the public where they can donate and pay in sponsorship money. 29th February 2012 | Leeds offers combination of excellent return whilst supporting charity

Leeds Building Society has launched a new affinity savings account, which will raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. The account pays an excellent rate of 3.00% gross p.a./ AER, and customers will help Marie Curie with 0.10% of the balances being donated to the charity.

10th February 2012 | Leeds launches shared ownership mortgage range up to 95% of borrower share

Leeds Building Society has launched a 2-year base rate tracker mortgage at only 3.09%. The product, which tracks the base rate plus 2.59% until 30th April 2014, is available up to 80% loan to value (LTV).
This new offer allows 10% capital repayments each year without penalty and has no higher lending charge. This is combined with a free standard valuation up to £335 and free in-house legal services for standard re-mortgages. 1st February 2012 | Leeds unveils 1 year fixed rate bond at 3.35% with 25% access

Leeds Building Society has unveiled a 1 year fixed rate bond, which combines a high guaranteed return of 3.35% gross p.a./ AER with unlimited access to 25% of the funds, without notice or penalty, at any time. 25th January 2012 | Leeds launches 2 Year Discount Mortgage requiring only a 5% deposit

Leeds Building Society has launched a 2-year discount mortgage at 5.25%, available up to 95% loan to value (LTV). There is also a deal at 4.35% available up to 90% LTV. These two new offers compliment the Society's existing, market leading 2 year discount rate at only 2.45% up to 75% LTV. Furthermore, all tiers of the 2 Year discount mortgage provide the flexibility of 10% capital repayments each year and have no higher lending charge. 23rd January 2012 | Leeds Building Society celebrates new partnership with Variety Children's Charity

Leeds Building Society is celebrating its new partnership with Variety, the Children's Charity by supporting the topical 'Star Wars' gold heart badge campaign. 20th December 2011 | Leeds offers 5-year fixed rate mortgages up to 95% loan-to-value

Leeds Building Society has increased the loan-to-value (LTV) on its 5-Year Fixed Rate mortgage to 95%, and has also introduced a 90% LTV tier with a rate below 5%. Furthermore, the UK’s 5th largest building society is also offering fees assisted versions at these high LTVs for customers who need assistance with upfront set-up costs. 16th December 2011 | Leeds schoolboy wins National Christmas card competition

Sam Reid, an eight year old from Wigton Moor Primary School in Leeds, has been announced as the winner of the Leeds Building Society National Christmas card competition. As the national winner Sam receives £50 in High Street vouchers, and his card is being used as Leeds Building Society’s Corporate Christmas card. 15th December 2011 | Tom raises his 'Top Hat,' and waltzes away with £20,000 donation

Ahead of this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing final, Leeds Building Society teamed up with the winner of series six, Tom Chambers, to present him with a donation on behalf of Age UK.
The presentation took place at Leeds Grand Theatre, where Tom was starring in ‘Top Hat’ prior to its transfer to the West End in April 2012. 13th December 2011 | Leeds Building Society appoints Finance Director
